Description

Poor wrangled an early discharge from the Army in March 1919, and spent the spring visiting Paris and touring the Normandy countryside. This and the adjacent drawing depict the small village of Beaumont, located not far from Cherbourg on the Cap del la Hague, the northwest tip of the Cotentin Peninsula.
