Description
This early view of Penn State, drawn by W. W. Denslow and set onto stone by Maurice Traubel, features the original 1863 "Main Building" just four years after the school’s name was changed from the Agricultural College of Pennsylvania to the Pennsylvania State College. The structure, which housed classrooms, administrative offices, and students, stood until 1929, when it was razed to make way for the current administration building, known today as "Old Main."
