Description

This drawing shows the convergence of stone, wood, and water probably near Peekskill, New York, where Frank Anderson lived much of his life. He regularly contributed landscape paintings of the local terrain to the exhibitions at the National Academy of Design in New York City from 1863 to 1888 but seems to have never ventured far from home.
